VV033:
This course will introduce you to the fundamentals of photography - the optics and the exposure - through assignments utilizing the creative potential of each of these photographic building blocks. You'll master the manual mode on the camera and basics of studio photography. We will consider light, composition, surfaces, materials, shadows and reflection.
Photography / Special Effects VV034:
If you would you like to learn the art of the in-camera image manipulation in SLR, MILC and phone, this is the course for you. We will explore motion blur, multiple exposures, extended shutter speed, extreme closeups and build a scene for a mini world. You'll even create a digital collage from your own images.

Complementary to the practical photography modules, this course will help you understand the evolution of the medium through technical ingenuity and it's role in the society, culture and art. From the 1830s daguerreotypes and salt prints to analogue film and AI, we'll take a closer look at the photographers that pushed the medium forward.
